When God Created Women...

From my mother this morning:

"We learned from euchrastic version that when god created woman, she must act feminine cuz god is perfect & not to be disregarded otherwise if you are disguising which the devil wants you to do so that god will be angry & later on he will give you trial & test you before punishing. Pls. Keep praying so that you will be saved & protected from doing sinful things.& not to be tempted by evil & god wil transform you & not to be influenced with wrong feeling."

My reply:

"If you don't accept me for who I am, and you keep sending me these text messages about your own interpretation about how God will judge me... I don't know how you expect me not to be upset every time you send me such hurtful and unkind words... You are not helping our family relationship when you show Kuya and I the void of unconditional love... I'm sorry you feel the way you feel, and I'm sorry you can't change your opinion and just love because we are your children. I hope you find self-realization and seek higher guidance then those you try to impress. I know God loves me. I know God accepts me. I was born with kindness in my heart and was created by God to spread kindness and the message of peace with the ability to perform good deeds...

Please stop sending me text messages that will cause confrontation."

2013 CES SURVIVAL GUIDE FOR FIRST TIME VISITORS

Living in Las Vegas as a professional photographer and restaurant manager, you would think I would get out more... Well, this week the 2013 CES Convention is in town, and Surfdash.com has chosen yours truly to experience consumer electronics' largest expo right here in my back yard!

I've gathered a list for my convention survival guide from a few visitors that have been there every year. And every year CES just keeps getting larger and more massive as it is not only at the LV Convention Center, but also expanding to the Las Vegas Hilton and the Venetian Hotel and Casino. For those who have never been to Vegas. That is a quarter length of the Las Vegas Strip!

CES SURVIVAL GUIDE LIST:

Cross Trainers.
(Comfortable walking shoes)
Sure, it's professional to wear business casual attire; however, walking around in heals or even Converse will make you regret life after an 8 hour day.

Headphones + MP3 player.
With all the release of celebrity headphones like Snooki's rhinestone studded earmuffs, don't think you'll be getting a pair. CES is just a sound wave of electronics and people talking with the background of random noises.

• Light backpack.
Many conventions like to give out a lot of free material like magazines and random goodie bags. You won't have enought space in your arms to carry it all. I'll be bringing my Dakine day bag!

• Camera
It doesn't matter if your iPhone has a panorama setting. You don't want to use up your precious battery. There will be so much stuff to look at that you regret to bringing at least a point and shoot. As for myself- my date for the day is my Nikon D300s.

• 2013 CES mobile App
wi-if should be available everywhere (can't talk highly of your calling out reception though) To every survival guide there is always a map. In this case, a floor plan of where different electronics are divided and where the closes restrooms are at. Along with all schedules and live news feeds are posted.

WATER!
It may be chilly in Vegas this time around, but staying hydrated should be a definite everyday habit. Drink at least a 16oz water before you head out or you will feel like jerky while you are there. I'd bring a water bottle from my own fridge and drink it through out the day and either I'll refill it at a water fountain or just go to Starbucks and get the bigger than venti great tasting filtered water. FYI there is a Starbucks every few steps in Vegas lol

STAY TUNED AS I CONTINUE THIS BLOG ALL DAY!

PhotoAddikt Photo Booth Concept

A couple weeks ago I couldn't fall asleep for the life of me. I started surfing the web looking up for any ideas of how to trigger a Nikon speed lite with an iphone. In a delirious state of mind I apparently purchased "The Button". It is used for single button photo booths. Pretty legit!
The next day when I was balancing my checkbook I wondered about a pending charge of $75 was all about. Then a package was left at my front door yesterday. Yup, don't actually remember buying, but hey, its here =)
This morning I put my concept together. I've searched through many threads about the quite simple connection. All I need now is an App Developer to develop a couple Utility Apps
I apologize if you came across my blog hoping for an answer.
Look on the bright side... YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

Any takers for the challenge?
Or at least a collaboration =)

1.) Create a mobile app that triggers a wireless receiver for an off-camera flash.

2.) Create a mobile utility keyboard app to be able to use "The Button". USB Connection even?

I'd like to know Anyone's thoughts about this. I need to lay off the coffee... Can anyone help me out?

-Nikon Speedlight
-Reciever
-iPhone4s
-iPad
-Macbook Pro
-Sparkbooth Trial (Can you make a mobile of this??)
-USB adapter

All my research can be found on my Surfdash.com board.

Happy National Coming Out Day!

I feel very blessed to have met everyone in my life. I have a wonderful family & great friends. My parents may never acknowledge the love I have for someone, but I know they still love me. I'm accepted by others, but most importantly I accept my self!
